AutolioPrivacy policy
In short
- Your data (vehicles, fill-ups, expenses, trips, reminders, documents, photos) stays on your phone. Autolio has no user account and no server that would receive it.
- No ads, no analytics, no data sold or shared for commercial purposes.
- Some features, which you turn on yourself, contact third-party services: they are listed below.
Data kept on the phone
Everything you enter is stored in the app's private storage: vehicle details, fill-ups and charges, expenses, maintenance log, trips, reminders, documents and their photos, settings. This data is deleted when you uninstall the app. Keys and tokens you enter (Claude, Notion) are kept separately and excluded from backups.
Location
- Nearby stations and chargers (phone and Android Auto): your current location is sent to the public data services that return stations and prices (prix-carburants.2aaz.fr, data.economie.gouv.fr) or charging points (odre.opendatasoft.com). Map tiles are downloaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives the area displayed.
- Automatic trips (off by default): if you enable them and pick your car, location is read in the background only at the start and end of a trip, when the phone connects to and disconnects from the car's Bluetooth. The two points are used to compute the road distance (OSRM service) and town names (Android geocoding service). A trip is only saved once you confirm it.
- Price alert (off by default): every 6 hours, the last known location is used to look for nearby stations below the price you set.
Autolio never keeps your location outside the trips you save, nor sends it for any other purpose.
Camera and photos
Photos of receipts, invoices and documents are stored on the phone. Receipts and odometers are read on the phone (Google Play services text recognition), unless you choose the “Claude” engine in settings: the photo is then sent to Anthropic with your API key, only to extract its information (Anthropic's policy). A photo or PDF you share to Autolio from another app is handled the same way.
Bluetooth
Only used for automatic trips: Autolio detects the connection to the car you picked. That device's address is kept on the phone.
Backup, sync and exports
Backups, the weekly backup, the sync file and exports (CSV, PDF) are only written where you choose (Google Drive, OneDrive, a phone folder, a sharing app), and are then subject to that service's terms.
Notion (optional)
If you connect a Notion database, your entries and trips are sent to it with your integration token (Notion's policy).
Notifications
Reminders, price alerts and trip suggestions are computed on the phone. No notification goes through an Autolio server.
Your rights
As your data is on your phone, you can view, export, edit or delete it at any time in the app, or erase everything by uninstalling it. Questions: apps+autolio@mount-consulting.com.
Children
Autolio is meant for drivers and is not directed at children.
